Gorilla Tag Ghosts Wiki

Largest Hunt in Gorilla Tag History!

BHL is hosting the biggest hunt ever! Group owners can sign up their group for this hunt and normal participants will use the independent registration system!

So you may be wondering, what happened to the Gorilla Tag Ghost Wiki?

Because some guy who owned HMI called another guy named Codeman a "larper", meaning that he can't code and stuff, he got really mad and the Firecats no longer liked the HMI.

Fast forward a little bit and Codeman randomly decides to threaten BHL months later with a top secret project called "Operation Encore" because he is mad that he was called a larp, and was worried that he looked bad in front of people. So, Codeman and at least 2 others worked hours on a client that was designed to nuke Discord servers, DDoS websites, and more just to mess with a silly little group on a VR monkey game.

So, since he was so angry, and BHL 0064 had to try to maintain the existence of his organization, they negotiated.

Codeman wanted the GTGW to equip a Firecats LLC fortnite gun wrap and become a propaganda hub for them until 6/1/25, because he wanted to look good, and the BHL would become a puppet-group until 6/5/25.

So, we apologize for losing this "war" or whatever, but it's only a month to deal with this so dw. things will be back to normal after if codeman doesnt clickbait us.

Who is 626?

626 was originally believed to be fake upon its first encounter in code Tr33—until it stopped acting like a kid trying to fake a ghost and actually started banning people in the code. 626 is usually characterized as a black monkey that initially pretends to be a ghost until someone calls it out. Then, it begins exhibiting the following behaviors: teleporting around, making extremely loud noises, banning people, etc.

The ghost appears to be a mimic when first encountered. If left undisturbed, it will leave.

History[]

October 2023[]

In October 2023, 626 was first encountered on the 25th. However, it seemed different—it was gray, lacked report immunity, didn’t have strobing fur, and couldn’t fly. It appeared much weaker in October than in any other month.

A theory was proposed by a friend of mine after we left the code unbanned and quit Gorilla Tag for about two weeks. He said, "What if that ghost... 626? Is fake and just had mods?" At the time, I personally disagreed with this. I had no clue what would happen later...

November–December 2023[]

Throughout November and December 2023, my friend and I couldn’t find 626. I would’ve thought it was just bad luck, but when I asked around, nobody had heard of the ghost. I thought back to what had happened and wondered if I was going crazy. I decided to search YouTube for any mention of the ghost but found nothing—no trace of him.

January–March 2024[]

The next three months were intense. I started being stalked by 626 in private lobbies, and it seemed like nobody else could see him. The peak of the terror was when I got banned for the first time in February.

I went down to the old caves because I wanted to be brave and face my fears of the mines. While I was down there, I knew I wasn’t alone... and I was right. He was following me—I could hear him. When I finally saw him, he emitted a loud static noise and chased me toward the computer. I quickly turned off my headset, but that turned out to be a mistake.

Later, I attempted another test where I went down there without my volume on, thinking it would make me less paranoid. I shouldn’t have done it... because I heard someone whisper "Hello" right behind me.

April–June 2024[]

Things cooled down for a while—I hadn’t heard of 626 for some time. But soon enough, I encountered him again. This time, it was in code Run. He was terrorizing the lobby when I joined.

Because I had changed my username and outfit in May, he didn’t recognize me immediately, but he still went after me. I’m glad I changed my identity, because who knows what he would’ve done after the fiasco in February. That was when I first noticed his shift from gray to black—and when he gained new abilities.
