INTRODUCTION
Anomily, stylized ANOMILY, pronounced: (ay-nom-al-ee) was and still is a ghost first seen around the same time of the Christmas 2024 update in Gorilla Tag, and went into hiding after being discovered by investigators. Luckily, I was in SREN17 at the time Anomily was and when he joined. I had been in there awhile with my friends, and he joined and came to us in mountains. We went to city, and he followed us there. We quickly noticed he could teleport at extreme speeds and whenever commanded to or told by someone to. So we used this to our advantage, telling him to answer questions via teleporting infront of us, as he is a mute ghost. This is also a way others can openly communicate with Anomily, given how hes mute—it’s allowed others to find indirect ways to infer what he may be thinking or how he can reply to others in a non-verbal manner. Please consider, however, that Anomily cannot respond in words of what he thinks about certain things or in complex replies. However, investigators are trying to develop ways we can communicate with Anomily better, and how he may prefer to be spoken to. At the moment, it is highly encouraged to speak to Anomily this way. If not, he may not understand what you or others are saying or asking him.
CHATLOGS: WHAT OTHERS ASK HIM/HAVE ASKED HIM
- Me: "Anomily, teleport infront of me if you want to be friends, or consider me a friend already." He then went on to teleport infront of me, likely signaling he either saw me as a friend or wanted to be friends.
- Others: "Teleport infront of me if you want to be friends!" The first person requesting this didn’t get teleported infront of, likely meaning he didn’t want to be friends with the person that was asking.
- My friend: "Anomily, teleport infront of me if you possess any harmful abilities toward players, that consist of tiny things like lagging or extreme things like banning or kicking others." Anomily teleported infront of him, but it is revealed he can only lag out of many things asked.
Unknown chatlogs, as we got off task and certain things started to happen after. Also, Anomily can be asked a series of questions regarding several different topics. You can ask Anomily almost anything, only not including of which that doesn’t interfere with the rules of what you cannot ask him. Sometimes certain questions may catch Anomily off guard or by surprise, or even angering him. It is highly advised, if you do not want to be kicked or worse, that you do not intentionally ask Anomily an inappropriate question that can easily be taken out of context by him and others. If he misinterprets what you want to receive from a question, he may retaliate in many ways.
APPEARANCE
As stated previously, Anomily took on the appearance of a blackish-grayish colored variant of gorilla during his time that he did exist in the world of the VR game, Gorilla Tag. He wasn’t distorted like other ghosts, and nothing was really wrong with his rig, he was just a normal gorilla with longer arms than the normal player who does play Gorilla Tag. Basically, he looked like he had really blatant worldscale (a setting in Steam or PCVR that makes your arms extremely long), similar to any other ghost with long arms. His unique appearance makes him stand out in settings or other locations in Gorilla Tag, making him one of the most unstealthy entities, alongside other colorful ghosts.
TRIVIA
- Anomily was one of the various ghosts or entities that at some point did belong to an organization, yet it was unknown what organization. There is no official plural name that can refer to these types of ghosts that are not under registration or ownership of any ghost groups other than "outsiders".
- Alongside other entities, he does not have photographed evidence of his existence. However, it is known by several investigators that this ghost was real at some point.
- He also does no longer exist or manifest in the virtual world of Gorilla Tag, similarly to other ghosts who randomly either got banned from the platform for terrorizing others or completely dissapeared without explanation.
BEHAVIORS & LOCATIONS
Anomily is a passive ghost that has no intent of harming others, but he has the ability. However, he could be aggravated and kick someone if they insult him several times intentionally, and he could be a potential threat once aggravated. Anomily can express himself through several actions you may ask him to do. As demonstrated previously, you can ask him to teleport infront of you to indicate something. Or, you could tell him to go infront of certain or specific objects to answer questions. For example: "Anomily, go infront of the computer if [question]." If he does not, and stays still, this could mean that he is still processing a question, and how to respond—as you could have asked a question new to Anomily/something people have not asked him yet. This could mean that he has neutral thoughts or feelings toward something you might’ve asked. This mostly happens when people ask Anomily inappropriate questions, and he sometimes just goes on with whatever he was doing. But, he could get offended by things others ask, so be careful with what you ask him.
REGARDING LOCATIONS
On other thoughts, Anomily could spawn in tons of maps. Sometimes, he is automatically in a map once joining, like Banshee, who immediately spawns in treehouse once in a code. Some of these could be mountains, canyons, forest, or city (currently he has only been documented to travel to these maps by commands or by will, not budging when instructed to go over to requested maps that do not include the list we provided). This is very rare that he will already be in a map instantly, likely only going there directly after joining a code.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, HOWEVER, THAT THESE ARE JUST OBSERVATIONS WE COLLECTED ON ANOMILY. SOMETHINGS IN HERE COULD BE FALSE. IF YOU RECIEVE INFORMATION, PLEASE UPDATE THIS PAGE.
BACKSTORY
Anomily does not seem to have any clues implying he ever did belong to an organization whatsoever. If so, similarly to Guardian, he was made by an unknown and off-the-grid, private ghost group that never had any traces of existing on the face of the internet/or publicly. This way, these are harmless rumors and interpretations about where Anomily did come from in the first place. If we had to guess, he might have came from the same organization as Guardian (probably not because it’s a fanmade ghost). We may have to look into it farther.
Heres what we have inferred from information we already have on Anomily. He was likely created in benefit of his creators, and eventually after being abandoned in the midst of times where a ton of people fled hiding spots because of five anomalies, he broke out of where he was being experimented on. Although it is not confirmed Anomily was named this way because of a typo/misspelling or intentionally named this way, we sometimes doubt whether if it’s his actual name. We will investigate.

We are working our hardest to find more codes that Anomily has been in, or where you can actively find him, as he has not been contained or captured just yet. Please keep in mind the currently listed codes have been throughly searched, and he has been found at least once in some of these codes. However, as of a few days after this page was created, apparently Anomily no longer exists or manifests in the virtual environment of Gorilla Tag, and this section of this page is technically useless considering you cannot find him any longer.

UPDATE #1, and LAST update
This is the only, and last update regarding the Anomily page. Despite constant investigating and research, this ghost/entity has been confirmed to no longer exist in the world of Gorilla Tag and cannot be found in the form of a ghost any longer. I want you all to know; this ghost did exist, and it was not fanmade like my other ghosts I have made. I actually saw this entity in code SREN17 and other codes.
